Unlike the sprawling 7+ foot tall Marilyn's Choice Abutilon (which has also been blooming), the Variegated Abutilon's height stayed under three foot. Its yellow-speckled foliage is what first caught my attention, but having small clusters of blooms is certainly an added bonus.
Planted in Pots:
- Bleeding Heart Vine (Clerodendrum thomsoniae): finally got around to planting the cuttings given to me by Robin from Getting Grounded; it will be spending the winter in the pop-up greenhouse.
Where did you find the variegated abutilon? I have yet to run across one.
ReplyDeletePam: Last spring, I discovered them at Barton Springs Nursery in the covered 4"-pot section. Didn't have the species labeled, but I believe 'Thompsonii' appears to be the one.
