Is that cilantro or parsley that the caterpillars are feeding on? Your macro shots are great, especially the ground orchid and blue anise sage (that color!). And the liriope in my yard is blooming, too; such a nice little surprise.
ReplyDeleteThe caterpillars are happily munching on parsley that I've let go to flower (rosemary in background) - not much left on those stalks though!
DeleteLovely pictures, especially the rain lily. I wouldn't be able to grow that here in upstate NY (zone 5a). That's why I enjoy GBBD so much - I get to see all those plants I can't grow. The swallowtail larvaes bring back memories of how much they love parsley. Knock on wood, we haven't been bothered by them the last several years.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful post...Black & Blue Salvia is SO dramatic...just love it!
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed your GBBD posting and my favorite flower in the group is Chinese Indigo (Indigofera kirilowii).I want to grow it myself. The swallowtail caterpillars are amazingly beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSuch a wonderful photos. The beauty of each and everyone of those flowers are captured perfectly. I'm loving it.
