In two years, it has more than doubled its width while adding some to its height. And the bloom production has been amazing this year.
I have been really enjoying the show this spring.
Wow. What a beauty. Almost worth the extra trouble. I might just be tempted.

Gosh, your photos seriously make me want to get an azalea. I can't believe that it survived last summer! Do you keep it in the shade? Does it attract bees? It's beautiful.
ReplyDeleteRoberta: Pretty much everything in my garden is in some degree of shade. I have it beneath a large red oak and up against a fence. The sun peeks over the house around 9, so it gets dappled light from then until around 4 when the fence starts casting a shadow over it. And since its in a pot on the deck, I can easily give it extra water if needed (though even during last summer, that was only once a week). Have not noticed any insects coming to the blooms.
