This has been its best bloom by far (several bloom clusters on last year's new growth). Not sure if it's variety makes any difference (mine is 'Alice'). My Mexican Honeysuckle is in one of the "sunnier" portions of my yard.RBellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02144562147128230710noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7134240985482133454.post-72056219754005079512012-05-15T22:00:21.861-05:002012-05-15T22:00:21.861-05:00Your photos are always so gorgeous, Ronnie. And then it was on "Plant of the Week" segment on CTG this week, so the universe must be telling me to get this plant. Yours looks awesome. And my Oakleaf Hydrangea is behind yours; one bud coming out but not in bloom yet. How old is your plant? Mine is only a couple years old yet. Missed you at our gatherings!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7134240985482133454.post-24827764101239368212012-05-15T21:00:44.542-05:002012-05-15T21:00:44.542-05:00Pavonia is one of my favorite plants. Have heard that crinums, when undisturbed, do better as the years progress. My older front bed ones sometimes go through 3-4 waves of short-lived blooms; my newer backyard ones have yet to ever flower.RBellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02144562147128230710noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7134240985482133454.post-31838859556233045912012-05-15T17:53:02.096-05:002012-05-15T17:53:02.096-05:00Lots of exotic blooms! I've got mystery foliage at the new house that I think might be crinum, but no flowers yet.Amy Farrierhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17308018161028455017noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7134240985482133454.post-6471868963497690572012-05-15T16:12:49.178-05:002012-05-15T16:12:49.178-05:00Those little ants sure enjoy the rock rose. Nice this bloom day that our gardens are enjoying another rain shower.Cathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03872899189875117518noreply@blogger.com
